Here we are in November and before you know it, Hanukkah will be here. I’m hoping to get some new holiday items in the gift shop within a couple of weeks.
Sometimes we just wonder where the time goes. It seems like just yesterday I was raising my three children and now my granddaughter Patricia is expecting my first great-grandson — yes, we know it is a boy.
Turning to Sisterhood business, I would like to hear from all the members to see what you would like to accomplish this year.
At our meeting in September, we discussed our Sisterhood directory.
We have not had a new book since 2014-15, so we’re going to publish a new one this year and we want to make sure we have everyone’s correct address and phone number, because we don’t want to leave anyone out.
I was planning a quiet dinner at home with Ralph for our 50th anniversary, as he is not able to get out. My daughter Carrie had other ideas. With the help of my neighbor Jean and Norma, we had a great Hawaiian luau party. (Since we couldn’t get to Hawaii, they brought the party to us.)
Sisterhood will hold our yearly May carry-in luncheon at noon Tuesday, May 9. We get to taste everyone’s cooking. We would love to have you join us.
