New group sets Charlottesville Solidarity Vigil for 7 p.m. Sunday, August 13, at Vigo County Courthouse

The newly created Wabash Valley in Solidarity with Charlottesville has invited United Hebrew Congregation Terre Haute members to participate in a Charlottesville Solidarity Vigil, 7-8 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2017, at the Vigo County Courthouse, 33 S 3rd St. in Terre Haute.

The event page reads:

“In response to the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, as a gathering of white supremacists, KKK and neo-Nazis, and the violent car attack against counter-protesters, Wabash Valley residents will be hosting a solidarity event.

“Please bring signs of love and solidarity. There will be an open invitation for people to share prayers from various faith traditions.”

The event is one of many scheduled across the country in affiliation with the progressive grassroots movement Indivisible.
