United Hebrew Congregation celebrated a busy and rewarding weekend with Student Rabbi Aaron Rozovsky’s farewell Shabbat service Friday evening and Sarah Harris’s Bat Mitzvah on Saturday morning.
“You’ve shown [Jewish life] can grow and thrive anywhere,” Rabbi Aaron told the congregation.

United Hebrew Congregation conducts services every Friday, with Temple members officiating most evenings when a student rabbi is not present.
On May 12, five ladies who comprised the Temple’s 2016 B’nai Mitzvah class took that role, as Karen Harris, Debra Israel, Patty Lewis, Wilma Turetzky and Sara Wormser-Waltermire delivered service, Torah portion and sermon, as well as an expansive oneg Shabbat.
UHC’s annual Purim party proved a rousing success, with hamentaschen, hats, groggers and hilarity for all. Rabbi Aaron and helpers read the whole Megillah. View images from the event!
