It is hard to believe September is here and the children are back in school. The weather will be changing.
Where does time go? Everything changes in life. The time will be changing and our children change.
My son and his wife (Grant and Dawn, pictured here) are moving to Texas and my brother is moving to Texas as well. I will miss them.
Even if we know that the moves are for the best, we still wish things could stay the same. But we adjust.
Sisterhood resumes and UHC welcomes a new student rabbi
Sisterhood held its first meeting of the season on Tuesday, Sept. 11, and we began discussing our plans for the year.
The holidays arrived early this year.
We always have good attendance when a new student rabbi arrives in the fall. This year, as always, we were anxious to meet Student Rabbi Jonathan Falco, who conducted Shabbat services August 28 and is presiding over High Holy Days services.
We have welcomed so many different student rabbis over the years and I have learned something from each one. I am sure they have gone away having learned from us as well.

We can all learn from each other if we just take the time to listen to the stories that the older people have to tell us. I say the older people, but I guess I have to admit that I’m one of them.
This time of year, however, we’re all thinking about how we will make this new year a better year.
Ralph and I and our family wish all of you L’Shanah Tovah!
