Anniversary party was a welcome surprise; Sisterhood sets carry-in luncheon, elections

By Patty Lewis
Patty and Ralph Lewis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 15.

What a month! As I am writing this, it isn’t over.

I was planning a quiet dinner at home with Ralph for our 50th anniversary, as he is not able to get out.

My daughter Carrie had other ideas. With the help of my neighbor Jean and Norma, we had a great Hawaiian luau party. (Since we couldn’t get to Hawaii, they brought the party to us.)

So many of you came and made it special. Thank you so much.

Everyone but Ralph and I knew about the party but nobody gave it away. Ralph had a great time. He loves being with people but he just isn’t able to get in the van.

May 9 meeting is last until September

Sisterhood was not able to have a meeting in April. We will hold our yearly May carry-in luncheon at noon Tuesday, May 9. We get to taste everyone’s cooking. We would love to have you join us.

We are going to welcome two new officers meeting at the May meeting. If you would like to be one of those officers, please let me know.

This will be our last meeting until September. I hope to have some plans for the next time we come back together.

If there is something you would like to see us do, let me know or suggest a guest speaker.

I hope to see you there!

Patty Lewis is president of UHC Terre Haute Sisterhood.
