Wabash Valley in Solidarity has planned a Stand Against Hate Candlelight Vigil in support of the Pittsburgh synagogue victims at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at the Vigo County Courthouse, 33 S 3rd St. in Terre Haute.
The event page reads:
“In solidarity with our Jewish friends and neighbors, and our friends and neighbors of color, please join our community in a candlelight vigil for peace and unity, and an end to extremism and hatred. It’s been a difficult week, even by recent standards. Candles will be provided, and all are encouraged to share their messages of support, love and healing.”
The Solidarity group arose in August 2017 in response to events in Charlottesville, Va., and organized a well-attended Charlottesville Solidarity Vigil.
