Student Rabbi Matt Derrenbacher will conduct virtual Torah study for United Hebrew Congregation at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021.
Rabbi Matt says, “This week we are beginning with sacrifice and prayer, as our High Holidays liturgy has a lot of sacrifice and supplication and atoning for sins. So, let’s look at sacrifice and how the idea of sacrifice transitioned to the idea of prayer.”
This week’s Torah portion is Parashat Vayeilech.
