Student Rabbi Aaron Rozovsky has announced discussion topics for three upcoming Torah study sessions at Temple Israel and Westminster Village.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, in the Vestry Room at Temple Israel, Rabbi Aaron and panel will examine “Jewish Stances on Immigration”.
Herschel Chait suggested the topic in light of the president’s Jan. 27 executive order on immigration that has incited controversy and discussion in Jewish communities across the country.
Saturday, Feb. 11, at Westminster Village: Tu B’Shevat
At 1 p.m. the same day, Rabbi Aaron will present the latest in a series of Torah study sessions at Westminster Village, 1120 E. Davis Drive, as an outreach to the senior community.
Topic will be Tu B’Shevat, marking the “New Year” for trees that falls on Feb. 11.

Saturday, Feb. 18: Parshah Yitro
The rabbi will return on Saturday, Feb. 18, for a 10 a.m. Torah study at Temple Israel that will examine Parshah Yitroh.
When the Memorial Scrolls Trust requested images of the Ten Commandments from the Temple’s Czech Memorial Torah, Aaron selected the Ten Commandments as they appear in Parshah Yitro, Exodus 20, Verses 1-17.
Rabbi Aaron will conduct Friday night Shabbat services at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and Feb. 17, and again on March 10 and March 24. Torah study topics for March. 11 and March 25 will follow.
